This is a placeholder privacy policy for the RSVP app — it isn't legal advice and should be reviewed and replaced with your own before relying on it for a real event.
Event hosts provide event details (title, venue, date, description, cover image). Guests provide RSVP details such as name, mobile number, attendance status, guest counts, and any optional preferences the host has enabled (food/drink preference, message). If an event collects payment, we also record payment status and amount — we do not process or store card details; payments happen directly between guest and host via UPI.
Guest data is used only to manage the RSVP list and check-in for the specific event it was submitted to, and is visible only to that event's host. We don't sell or share guest data with third parties.
When an event requires OTP verification, your mobile number is used solely to send a one-time passcode via SMS to confirm the RSVP is genuine. The code expires shortly after it's sent and isn't used for any other purpose.
For RSVPs submitted through a shared/common event link, we store an anonymous device identifier in a cookie to prevent the same visitor from submitting duplicate RSVPs for one event. It isn't linked to any other tracking or used across unrelated sites.
Event and guest data is retained until the host deletes the event, at which point all associated guest records are removed.
